Public Water Supply District No. 3 of Johnson County (PWSD No. 3) is a rural water service purveyor located in Warrensburg, Missouri. We provide public drinking water to residents in the rural area surrounding Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Leeton, and Windsor.  Our service area includes the portion of Johnson County located south of State Highway 50, west of Highway 127 in Pettis County, north of NE 1130 Road in Henry County, and east of State Highway 13.

How do I start service?

To establish water and/or wastewater service with PWSD No. 3, new customers must complete a Water User Agreement.

Water is billed after it has been used. The security deposit is used to pay the final bill once water service is terminated. Any amount remaining from the deposit will be refunded and mailed to a forwarding address.

Water service can be terminated by completing an out processing form. This form can be submitted online by clicking on Stop Service.

Water meters are read approximately the 20th of each month.

We do not estimate water usage. PWSD No. 3 uses cellular water meters that allows us to monitor water usage on a daily basis. There is a 24 hour delay. This continuous monitoring allows us to assist with leak detection.    

Water consumption depends on several factors such as how many people are living in the home. On average each consumer uses approximately 2,000 gallons of water per month. View our current rates to see the estimated amount.

PWSD No. 3 offers several options for payment such as Cash, Check, Money Order, e-Check, Debit / Credit Cards and ACH auto draft. Payments can be made online, by mail, drop box, or in our office during business hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm M-F.

Customers have the option to receive printed billing statements by mail or e-Statements. Water bills are printed and mailed approximately the last week of each month. Customers should receive their bill no later than the 5th day of the following month. Contact our office or view your bill online if you do not receive your bill by the 5th.

NON-RECEIPT OF A PRINTED BILL DOES NOT NEGATE THE LATE CHARGE.

Water bills are due by the 5th day of the month and are subject to a $10.00 late charge after the 15th day of the month.

Any account with a balance over $10.00 will be assessed a late charge after the 15th day of the month.

Yes, past due customers will receive text messages and emails regarding disconnection. If past due balances are not paid by the 15th day of the month your account is subject to disconnection and a $100.00 service charge will be assessed. Service charges apply regardless if the water meter has been turned off.

Yes, an additional $50.00 after hours service charge will be assessed and must be paid before water service is restored. Normal operating hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday.

PWSD No. 3 does provide emergency water service. An emergency constitutes as a water leak that could potentially cause damage. For emergency after hours service follow the emergency steps procedure.   

Occasionally sediment from natural elements get stirred up within the water mains. This could potentially cause the water to be temporarily discolored. This discoloration in not harmful.  

If you experience discolored water, contact our office and request to have the water main in your area flushed.
